Job Summary:
The Senior Operations Officer plays a critical role in managing and optimizing the school’s operational infrastructure. This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient execution of daily operations, while continuously enhancing administrative processes, coordinating vendor and facility services. Serving as a central point of contact across departments, the Senior operations Officer also supports the Operations Manager in enhancing overall operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead procurement activities, including vendor evaluation, contract negotiations, purchasing strategies, and inventory oversight.
• Manage vendor and supplier relationships to ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) are met and operations run smoothly (e.g., school cafeteria, facilities services).
• Supervise facility maintenance schedules and performance of service providers (security, cleaning, and transportation), ensuring timely and quality service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations, conducting regular audits and partnering with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead operational planning and logistics for school-wide events, examinations, and other major programs.
• Maintain and review operational records, service contracts, and reporting systems, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for internal use and audits.
• Address and resolve operational challenges, making decisions or escalating issues to the Operations Manager as appropriate.
• Collaborate proactively with academic and administrative leadership to support strategic goals and respond to evolving school needs.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in school operations or facility management.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage vendors, and oversee cross-functional operational workflows.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced educational environment.
